MakersHydro® is designed to keep measurement, dosing, safety and control decisions inside a local low-voltage control architecture while using suitable plug-in equipment-control devices where applicable.

Water, humidity and electricity

Hydroponic environments combine water, humidity, pumps, lights and switching loads. That makes uncontrolled DIY mains wiring one of the risks worth designing out early.

Low-voltage control logic

Core control logic belongs in a deterministic local controller network, not in improvised mains wiring, remote cloud rules or a fragile chain of unrelated apps.

Safer does not mean risk-free

The goal is to reduce unnecessary electrical work by the user. Proper devices, installation practices, ratings, enclosures and local regulations still matter.

MakersHydro® treats pumps, lights and environmental devices as controlled equipment, but the core grow logic remains inside the local measurement and control architecture.

  • Local pH/EC, reservoir and safety state stays available without cloud dependency.
  • Equipment control can be mapped to suitable external devices instead of exposing users to custom mains wiring.
  • Fault handling and safety states are designed as part of the controller, not as an afterthought.

MakersHydro® does not claim that any integration removes electrical risk, replaces qualified electrical work or makes every third-party device suitable for every grow. The claim is narrower and more practical: reduce the need for user-built mains relay wiring by designing the control architecture properly.
